Cornwall 2011

In June 2011, we decided on a trip down to Cornwall, it's a beautiful place and well worth it with the dogs. We decided to camp (which could be a mistake!) instead of renting a cottage. We were joined by our friends Phil and Gem and their cute little dog Jas. We set off from home very early as the drive is very long and we worried a little about how many stops we would have to make with Spike and Chewy, but to our surprise they slept most of the way and only required a few toilet stops and to stretch their legs. We were camping on a farm in Gorran Haven.

We found the campsite with little trouble, but the trouble was to come, putting a tent up in strong winds on top of a hill tested Andy to the limit!

The Campsite was very nice, adequate shower blocks, a little restaurant which was dog friendly and a little shop and plenty of walks on your doorstep. Our first walk would be down to Gorran Haven beach.

Ok, so it has been well over a year since we last posted. We are very sorry and will catch up with the first trip report from Cornwall in 2011 which will be followed by a trip around North Wales from 2012.
The reason we have been absent is that we were blessed with a new arrival. We had a baby boy on 3rd April 2012, we called him Jake. As new parents we have been learning to juggle and can now catch up on things! We love our new little family and Spike and Chewy have adapted to Jake very well. There should be a few laughs as we attempt our first trip abroad with Jake in May to Turkey and there will of course be Spike and Chewy's holiday as well this year, destination undecided at the moment.
